The amazing Newey & Bloomer Sixplex kettle was first created in 1903 and is still beautifully handcrafted in Birmingham, England using the same techniques that have been used since day one. This beautiful kettle takes up to six weeks to make and each one is made using the highest grade copper. Each Newey & Bloomer Simplex Kensington kettle is unique due to its handmade nature, and each piece is hallmarked with 'Made in England'.

Do's and Don'ts

  • Keep the water level just below the centre seam (Do)
  • Hand wash only and dry with a soft cloth (Do)
  • Clean copper kettles with a good copper cleaner such as Brasso or Hagerty metal polish. Remember to polish the compound well, and do not allow it to build up around the handle and nuts (Do)
  • Use filtered water, particularly in hard water areas (Do)
  • Empty any leftover water after boiling and wipe the inside dry to prevent calcium (limescale) build-up (Do)
  • Copper is an exceptional material in the kitchen and, when maintained properly, should give you many years of service (Do)
  • Leave water in the kettle overnight (Do Not)
  • Put your kettle in a dishwasher (Do Not)
  • Let the Simplex tea kettle boil dry (Do Not)
  • Clean with any acidic cleaning agents (Do Not)
  • Scrub with steel wool or abrasive cleaning cloths/brushes or pads as this can lead to irreparable damage (Do Not)
